《孟子．尽心下》"孔子曰'恶似而非者。'"后以"似是而非"指事物似真而实假，或似正确而实错误『王充《论衡．死伪》"世多似是而非，虚伪类真，故杜伯﹑庄子义之语，往往而存。"晋葛洪《抱朴子．对俗》"或难曰神仙方书，似是而非。"
