明治维新 (明治維新)
the Japanese Meiji Restoration of 1868
日本从封建社会进入资本主义社会的资产阶级改革运动。19世纪中期,由于外国势力的入侵,日本封建统治出现危机。西南各藩下级武士发动拥护天皇、驱逐洋人的尊王攘夷”运动,不久发展成为要求推翻江户幕府的倒幕”运动。1867年倒幕派以天皇名义迫使将军交权,建立新政府。1868年幕府制度被推翻后,天皇改年号为明治。此后,以明治天皇为首的新政府废除封建制度,发展经济,建立新军,并于1889年颁布《明治宪法》,使日本逐步走上资本主义道路。
