Lancang River of Qinghai and Yunnan, the upper reaches of Mekong River 湄公河[Mei2 gong1 He2] of Southeast Asia
中国西南地区大河。源于青海省唐古拉山北麓，从北向南经西藏、云南，出国境后称湄公河。注入南海。全长4688千米(中国境内段长2354千米)。中游处于横断山区，山高谷深，水流湍急。下游两岸山势渐低，峡谷和平坝相间。流量丰，落差大，富水能资源。
