瘫痪 (癱瘓)
paralysis / be paralyzed (body, transportation, etc)
①又称麻痹”。人体某一部分随意运动的减弱或丧失。因严重程度不同,可分为完全瘫痪和不完全瘫痪。其中,一侧上肢或下肢运动功能丧失,称单瘫”;一侧上下肢运动功能丧失,称偏瘫”;两下肢运动功能丧失,称截瘫”;两侧上下肢运动功能丧失,称四肢瘫”。②比喻组织机构失去作用,不能正常工作铁路全线瘫痪。
