冬天，也能体验到雾凇的这种美景

And wonderful sceneries as rime in winter

měi tiān dōu shì yī gè xīn de jǐng sè

每天都是一个新的景色

Everyday there’s a new view

mín sù cóng kāi gōng dào xiàn zài yīng gāi yǒu liǎng nián duō yī diǎn de shí jiān

民宿从开工到现在应该有两年多一点的时间

The construction of the guesthouse takes about a little over 2 years

wǒ liǎng nián méi yǒu shōu rù

（我）两年没有收入

I had no income for 2 years

zhè gè cūn zi yuán lái shì yī gè kōng xīn cūn

这个村子，原来是一个空心村

It was a hollow village

fáng zi yě bǐ jiào pò bài

房子也比较破败

With dilapidated houses

tóu rù gū jì yīng gāi shì zài wàn yǐ shàng

（投入）估计应该是在1500万以上

The cost should be more than 15 million

我是1998年去的日本

I went to Japan in 1998

xué xí jiā shàng gōng zuò dà gài qián hòu shí nián zuǒ yòu de shí jiān

学习加上工作大概前后十年左右的时间

And I stayed there studying and working for 10 years

When I first visited here

liù dòng jiàn zhù zài shān pō shàng

六栋建筑，在山坡上

The 6 buildings were on the slope

yīn wèi yǒu gāo chà

因为有高差

Because of altitude difference

suǒ yǒu de jiàn zhù shì kě yǐ kàn dào fēi cháng měi lì de jǐng guān

所有的建筑是可以看到非常美丽的景观

All buildings enjoy amazing views

fēng jǐng zuì hǎo de fāng xiàng

风景最好的方向

The part with the best orientation

nà gè bù fēn shì jǐn liàng tòu míng dì tōng tòu dì chù lǐ

那个部分是尽量透明地、通透地处理

We make it as transparent as possible

wǒ men gēn jù měi yī dòng lóu de huán jìng guān xì lái chū fā

我们根据每一栋楼的环境关系来出发

We start from the relationship between each building and the environment

lái xuǎn zé yòng nǎ yī xiē cái liào gèng hé shì

（来选择）用哪一些材料更合适

And choose the appropriate materials

两栋楼的红砖是在当地找的

The bricks used in 2 buildings are local

fáng jiān de gé qiáng yī zhí yán shēn dào wài miàn

房间的隔墙一直延伸到外面

The partition walls extend outside

shì jué shàng fēi cháng kāi fàng de kōng jiān

视觉上非常open（开放）的空间

To create a really open space

zuì hǎo de zhuàng tài shì suǒ yǒu de dōng xī dōu yòng quán tiān rán de dōng xī

最好的状态是所有的东西（都用）全天然的东西

It’s the best to use all-natural materials

zhòng xīn jiàn dé tǔ qiáng

重新建得土墙

The walls are newly built

yě shì dà shān cūn lǐ miàn de yī gè tǔ

也是大山村里面的一个土

With earth in the mountain

kè fáng shì yóu xì zǎo ní de hěn pǔ sù de cái liào

客房是由矽藻泥的，很朴素的（材料）

The guest room is built with diatomaceous earth, a very simple material

lèi shì yú dòng xué de nà zhǒng ān jìng de huán jìng

类似于cave （洞穴）的那种安静的环境

It’s a quiet environment like cave

yù gāng shì shuǐ mó shí

浴缸是水磨石

The bathtub is made from terrazzo

shì yòng shuǐ ní shí tóu gōu liào

是用水泥、石头勾料

Which is a mixture of cement and stones

zhè gè wǎ piàn wǒ men yǒu yī bù fēn shì lì yòng yuán yǒu de jiàn zhù shàng miàn de wǎ piàn

这个瓦片我们有一部分是利用原有的建筑上面的瓦片

Some of the tiles are from the original building

hái yǒu yī bù fēn shì qù xún zhǎo yǒu yī xiē lǎo zhái

还有一部分是去寻找有一些老宅

And some are from other old buildings

jìn qù kè fáng de shí hòu

进去客房的时候

When you enter into the guest room

xī wàng ràng tā tuō xié

希望让他脱鞋

We hope you take off your shoes

gǎn jué dào gēn dà dì miàn de guān xì gèng qīn qiè

感觉到跟大地面的关系更亲切

To feel closer to the ground

gǎn jué dào yī gè mù dì bǎn de wén lǐ

感觉到一个木地板的纹理

To feel the texture of the wooden floor

yě yǒu kě néng wén dào yī xiē tǔ dì de xiāng wèi

也有可能闻到一些土地的香味

And you might also smell the aroma of earth

wǒ men shì xíng le yī duàn shí jiān jiù zài mén kǒu huàn xié

我们试行了一段时间，就在门口换鞋

We’ve tried it out for a period of time that guests change shoes at the entrance

dà bù fēn kè rén hái shì xīn rán jiē shòu de

大部分客人还是欣然接受的

Most of them accept it pleasantly

dà jiā dōu jué dé bǐ jiào xīn qí

大家都觉得比较新奇

People all think it’s new

yīn wèi zì jǐ jiā zhuāng xiū kě néng bù huì zhuāng chéng zhè yàng

因为自己家装修可能不会装成这样

Because their own houses probably don’t have such decoration

dà xíng de jiǔ diàn tā yě bù huì nòng dào zhè zhǒng shè jì fēng gé

大型的酒店它也不会弄到这种设计风格

And big hotels don’t choose such style

zhí bù zhí dé zěn me shuō ne

值不值得，怎么说呢？

Is it worthwhile

rú guǒ wǒ men huā dào zài nà gè xì jié

如果我们花到在那个细节

If we spend the money on details

suī rán bù shì ràng rén róng yì fā xiàn de dì fāng

虽然不是让人容易发现的地方

Although they’re not something which can be easily found

dàn shì zhù zài wǒ men zhè lǐ de kè rén

但是住在我们这里的客人

But guests living here

zěn me yě yào dài gè yī tiān huò zhě liǎng tiān shí jiān

怎么也要待个一天或者两天时间

Usually stay for 1 or 2 days at least

nà wǒ jué dé zǒng guī tā huì yǒu yī xiē dì fāng néng gòu tǐ yàn dé dào

那我觉得总归他会有一些地方能够体验得到

Then I think he will experience some of the details anyhow

yóu yǒng chí de bù fēn shì zuì gāo de dì fāng

游泳池的部分是最高的地方

The swimming pool is the highest place

nóng cūn de jiàn zhù dōu kàn bù dào de

农村的建筑都看不到的

Where you can’t see rural buildings

xià wǔ liù diǎn jiù tiān hēi le

下午六点就天黑了

It gets dark at 6:00pm

suǒ yǐ hē jiǔ de shí hòu

所以喝酒的时候

So when you’re drinking

yóu yǒng chí biàn chéng yī gè jǐng guān jǐng

游泳池变成一个景观景

The swimming pool becomes a view

mín sù xiào guǒ chū lái zhī hòu

民宿效果出来之后

After the guesthouse was completed

jiù wèn le cūn zhǎng

就问了村长

We asked the village head

duì wǒ men de jiàn zhù yǒu shén me fǎn yīng

对我们的建筑有什么反应

About the reaction to our buildings

tā men shuō jiù tài pǔ tōng le

他们说就太普通了

They just said too ordinary

tīng dào zhī hòu jiù hěn fàng xīn

听到之后就很放心

And we were relieved to hear that

wǒ men de jiàn zhù gēn zhōu wéi de huán jìng fēi cháng xié diào

我们的建筑跟周围的环境非常协调

Our buildings harmonize with surrounding environment

zhè gè cūn zi nián jì zuì xiǎo de kě néng yě yǒu kuài suì le

这个村子年纪最小的可能也有快70岁了

The youngest person in the village is probably nearly 70

yóu yú wǒ men de cún zài

由于我们的存在

Because of our existence

zhè gè cūn zi cóng lái méi zhè me rè nào guò

这个村子从来没这么热闹过

The village becomes so lively

zhè lǐ diàn huà bù tōng

这里电话不通

There’s no telephone

chú le wǎng luò yǐ wài

除了网络以外

Except for internet

zàn shí shī qù gēn wài bù de lián xì

暂时失去跟外部的联系

You lost connection to the outside world temporarily

dà jiā zài zhè ér chōng chōng diàn

大家在这儿充充电

People recharge their batteries here

zhòng xīn zài chū fā

重新再出发

And start again

fǎn ér shì yī gè hǎo de jī huì

反而是一个好的机会

It’s a nice opportunity
