中南海
Zhongnanhai, palace adjacent to the Forbidden City, now the central headquarters of the Communist Party and the State Council
在北京市区中部、故宫西侧。包括中海与南海，与北海统称三海。面积100公顷，其中水面约47公顷。中海开凿于金、元时，南海开凿于明初。清代与北海统称为西海子，亦称太液池。为皇家禁苑。园内景色美丽。有水云榭、丰泽园、瀛台等胜迹，光绪皇帝曾被囚于瀛台。园内还有崇雅殿、怀仁堂、紫光阁、武成殿等建筑。新中国成立后，为中共中央和国务院所在地。丰泽园内菊香书屋为毛泽东故居。
