八国联军 (八國聯軍)
Eight-Nation Alliance, involved in a military intervention in northern China in 1900
英、美、德、法、俄、日、意、奥八国组成的侵华联军。1900年义和团运动期间，帝国主义借口清政府排外”，联合出兵，以瓜分中国。八国联军攻陷北京后，掠夺财物，残杀人民。慈禧太后和光绪帝逃往西安。不久德国元帅瓦德西任联军总司令，侵略军增至十万人。清政府被迫签订《辛丑条约》后，八国联军除留一部外，其余撤回本国。
