❶〈形〉（质量）稍次：这种笔比那种笔～。❷〈副〉表示某种事情接近实现或勉强实现。如果是说话的人不希望实现的事情，说“差点儿”或“差点儿没”都是指事情接近实现而没有实现。如：“差点儿摔倒了”和“差点儿没摔倒”都是指几乎摔倒但是没有摔倒。如果是说话的人希望实现的事情，“差点儿”是惋惜它未能实现，“差点儿没”是庆幸它终于勉强实现了。如“差点儿赶上了”是指没赶上；“差点儿没赶上”是指赶上了。‖也说差一点儿。
