也称本票”。由债务人向债权人开出，在约定期限偿付票面金额款项的债务凭证。商业活动中通用的一种票据。期票未到期，债权人可在其背面作专门签署(背书”)后转让，也可向银行申请贴现，以先期取得现款。期票到期，持票人即可要求出票人付款。
