School of Diplomacy of the Warring States Period (475-221 BC) whose leading advocates were Su Qin 蘇秦|苏秦[Su1 Qin2] and Zhang Yi 張儀|张仪[Zhang4 Yi2]
战国时期一批从事政治活动的谋士，以审察时势﹑陈明利害的方法，以"合纵"﹑"连横"的主张，游说列国君主，对当时形势有一定影响，其代表人物为苏秦﹑张仪。苏秦主张合纵，合山东六国之力以抗秦。张仪主张连横，说六国以事秦。当时谋士一般分属合纵﹑连横两派，《汉书．艺文志》列为"九流"之一◇因称凭辩才进行政治活动者为"緃横家"。
