交趾
former southernmost province of the Chinese Empire, now northern Vietnam
亦作"交址"。 原为古地区名，泛指五岭以南『武帝时为所置十三刺史部之一，辖境相当今广东﹑广西大部和越南的北部﹑中部。东汉末改为交州。越南于十世纪三十年代独立建国后，宋亦称其国为交趾。

自汉代在今越南地区设置交趾郡及交州以来，交趾、交州就渐成为古代越南的代名词，直到唐设立安南都护府后，才被“安南”一词所代替。
