戏曲剧种。流行于湖南中部、东部和江西西部。曾名长沙湘戏”。是兼唱高腔、低牌子、昆腔、弹腔的多声腔剧种。高腔源于弋阳腔，明中叶已在长沙流行；后昆腔、弹腔等传入。剧目有《拜月记》、《追鱼记》、《琵琶上路》等约一千一百种。
