即电子管。在玻璃或金属的容器内装特制的电极﹐通过阴极放射的电子与其他电极相作用进行各种工作﹐最重要的作用是整流﹑检波﹑放大和振荡。简单的真空管有两个极﹐叫二极管。按电极数可分为三极管﹑四极管﹑五极管等。一般常用的都是高度真空的﹐故称。
