舍利
ashes after cremation / Buddhist relics (Sanskirt: sarira)
佛教称死者火化后的残余骨烬。通常指释迦牟尼的遗骨为佛骨或佛舍利，如佛骨舍利与佛牙舍利等。相传释迦牟尼火葬后，有八国国王分取舍利，建塔供奉。其中一枚佛牙舍利很早就传入中国，现供奉于北京西山佛牙舍利塔内。
