唱对台戏 (唱對臺戲)
to put on a rival show (idiom); to set oneself up against sb / to get into confrontation
In the past, in order to grab business, the two troupes sometimes performed the same play for a while, which is called sing the opposite / It is an analogy of taking actions against the opponent to oppose or destroy the opponent
过去,两个戏班子为了抢生意,有时候会硐一时间演同样的戏,称为唱对台戏。比喻采取与对方相对的行动,来反对或搞垮对方。
